Work and Koala Bears

Work was busy, but felt more productive. One of my co-workers is very unwell; he got admitted into hospital on Tuesday. Initially he had the flu, then developed pneumonia, then was diagnosed as fine despite the fact he had bad chest pains, was zipped into hospital, as the pains got to intense and was found to have excessive amounts of fluid on the lungs. I hope he pulls through ok and recovers fully.

Only ran this afternoon, wish I had gone this morning, as for 1. I'm sure it makes the afternoon run easier and 2. There is a bunch of kids starting their baseball practice on the pitch I run on.

On a different subject, I bought the single to Madonna's song, "Hung Up", its magic, only the remix versions have parts where it sounds like my washing machine on spin cycle.

Austrialian Fact of the Day:

In Australia we have Koala Bears and 'drop bears', koala's are herbivores, so is strange they make the bear category, its theoretical they may have been carnivores eons ago. They are gorgeous, eat gum leaves and very lazy.

In Canada, I have no idea what bears you have. I am tempted to hazard a guess and say you have the generic polar bears. Which are magnificent, yet obviously higher in the food chain than us, so best to adore from a distance.

Yup we certainly have polar bears (but only way up north obviously) But we also have a million other bears that live in the warmer forests, like black bears and so on.

They apparently like to live near my cottage which always scares the poop out of us. When you see a baby bear strolling along you know the mother isn't far behind!

wow, that must be awesome, the baby bears must look soooo cute. But probably quite likely to eat your leg, no worries.
It must be interesting having wildlife like that, walking around your backyard.
