Michelle's Things

Am tired this morning as I have been up late, watching the 4th Aliens movie, 'Alien Resurrection'. It is all very good, this one I have seen before, it was the only Alien film I actually got to see at the cinemas all the rest came out when I was between the ages of 0 and 16. So when I was 19 and I heard of the fourth one, I was first in que. I just really wanted to get the cinematic experience, and it was worth every penny. I am watching the whole series again, as a friend purchased the special quadrilogy box set and he over heard me saying how its one of my favourite films and lent it to me. Bob, hasn't seen the 1st, 3rd or 4th so he got a kick out of it and a fright, mind you. I guess now, all thats left is Aliens versus Predator, I have mixed feelings about this, I had played the pc game about 5 years ago and thought it was cool. I will probably watch the film, as my curiosity will get the better of me. It will knowingly, not match the film set, as Ripley is such an integral character, still I like watching films as its always intriguing to see how each film maker interprets and creates these stories. It has taken me 4 months to watch the whole box set, as I get quite disturbed from some of the scenes and it takes me all my strength to sit down and watch each film.
I think, personally, I fear these movies, because my primal instincts are telling me to RUN, as this creature is a new threat to my species.
In the fourth film, the puppetry of the alien is exceptional, only the director has made a stumble of error in making the alien feel like a t-rex, rather than this slick extraordinary superior species that its first intended to look like.
